FINDING A GOOD REPTILE VET
??? WHY ???
There is only one thing worse than trying to find a good reptile vet, and that's trying to find one in the middle of an emergency. So, don't wait. Do it now, because it's not as easy as just picking up a phone. Good reptile vets are like buried treasure.....hard to find.
??? HOW ???
The best way to find a really GREAT reptile vet is by asking other herpers who they use! Most herpers are happy to share information.
**If you don't know any herpers in your area, call the nearest chapter of a herpetological society, and ask for a referral to the vet or clinic used by the society members.
**If you live near a zoo, call and ask to speak with the reptile curator, and ask that person for assistance in finding a good vet.
**Phone local petstores, and ask what (if any) vet services their livestock.
**Call area vet offices, and ask for referrals.
**Call the nearest veterinary college, and request help in finding a reptile vet.
**Check the Internet listings of herp vets for one in your area.
INTERNET LISTS??? WHAT INTERNET LISTS????
